Aloha, all!
What fun to have a bookmark that doesn’t slip down inside the page or, worse, fall out the minute you pick the book up off the table!
I learned how to make this bookmark in the summer of 2008 when I received one in a Bookmark Swap that I hosted at the Stampin’ Up! Convention. Now, every time I find myself with a book that needs marking, I just grab a piece of 6" square paper and fold one up!
This is a quick and easy bookmark I made for one of my cookbooks (all cookbooks should have one just like it–the bookmarks will hold several pages at once and keep them from flipping the page over so you lose your recipe!). I embellished it with cutouts of stamps pictures from the Voila stamp set.
Here are the instructions for making the fold for the bookmark–the decorations are limited only by your imagination. Think punched hearts for a Romance Novel! Flowers for a gardening book. I’m going to make my husband one with the Jackpot Designer Series Paper for one of his bridge books!
