Handmade Greeting Card

Stampin’ Up! Kits Are Keeping Me Going!

November 16, 2021 by Robin

Aloha, all! I have to tell you that my traditional greeting - a greeting I've used since I became a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator almost 14 years ago - is about to become history. You haven't seen me around here for a while because we're planning a move in a little less than a month. On December 9th, my husband and I will board a Hawaiian Airlines Flight to Florida with a one-way ticket. Once we get … [Read more...] about Stampin’ Up! Kits Are Keeping Me Going!

A Sale-a-bration Surprise!

August 25, 2021 by Robin

Aloha, all! If you are anything like me, when I opened the new Sale-a-bration brochure and saw the Penguin Playmates paper set, my first reaction was, "I'm not ready for Christmas yet - it's not even winter!" Sure, penguins are fun all year long. But this paper has polar bears and Christmas trees and snowmen and wool scarves and hats! It's still summer, guys!!!   But then I looked at … [Read more...] about A Sale-a-bration Surprise!

A Quite Curvy Thanksgiving Card

November 14, 2020 by Robin

Aloha, all! When I mailed my Halloween cards a full week in advance, I thought that would be plenty of time for everyone to get my cards. I especially wanted my grandchildren to get theirs because I added a little something in the way of Trick or Treat in each of their cards. But only 1 of the 5 got their cards on time! So today, 12 full days before Thanksgiving, all of my Thanksgiving cards … [Read more...] about A Quite Curvy Thanksgiving Card

Stampin’ Up! Fun OnStage Projects!

November 12, 2020 by Robin

Aloha, all! For the past two months I've been calling what I post on Thursday a "Throwback Thursday" project. That project usually is something that I made years ago and redid with today's Stampin' Up! products. But today's Throwback Thursday takes me back to a time when Stampin' Up! had annual conventions, mostly in Salt Lake City, Utah. And there was always a Make and Take Session … [Read more...] about Stampin’ Up! Fun OnStage Projects!

A Quick and Easy Fun Fold Idea!

September 29, 2020 by Robin

Aloha, all! This is the last Tuesday in September, and this post features the last of the quick and easy fun fold cards that I promised for Tuesday's Techniques this month. But there is one difference with this card. I really did need to write a full tutorial for the card. And I've promised those on my mailing list that that any full tutorial I write will be shared in my newsletter first. So in … [Read more...] about A Quick and Easy Fun Fold Idea!

A Holly Jolly Slimline Card!

September 19, 2020 by Robin

Aloha, all! If you've been following along with me this week, you know that I sneaked in a Christmas card for my Throwback Thursday blog post this week. But today is Saturday, and I've promised that every Saturday in September will feature a Christmas card. So this week is a two-fer! A Stamp Set Perfect for Slimline Cards! I bought the Joyful Holly Stamp Set for just one reason - to make a … [Read more...] about A Holly Jolly Slimline Card!

It’s a Halloween Fun Fold!

September 15, 2020 by Robin

Aloha, all! This week we're continuing with my Tuesday's Techniques theme for September - Fun Folds. As a refresher, I decided that the folds for September are going to be easy to construct and are also folds that allow a card to stand up on a table or shelf. I love showing off a card that a friend sends me. And I'm so disappointed when I have to lay it down because there's no way it can stand … [Read more...] about It’s a Halloween Fun Fold!

A Diagonal Gatefold Card!

September 8, 2020 by Robin

Aloha, all! It's Tuesday again, and time for my Tuesday Technique, which this month is simple fun fold cards. Nothing too complicated, and they all use just half a sheet of cardstock. In the case of today's card, once you've cut your half of the cardstock, you pretty much have to make another of the same kind of card with the other half. This is not a bad thing by any means! Cutting Cardstock … [Read more...] about A Diagonal Gatefold Card!

Waterfront Scenery!

August 15, 2020 by Robin

Aloha, all! As I mentioned a couple of times earlier this week, I'm going to try to change up the way that I share my projects and Stampin' Up! products with you on my blog. For one thing, I'd like you to know that Tuesday will feature some kind of technique related to card making. Tuesdays will also have a monthly theme. For Thursdays, I'm adopting the oldie-but-goodie theme of Throwback … [Read more...] about Waterfront Scenery!

Island Hopping – Forever Greenery!

June 24, 2020 by Robin

Aloha, all! If ever a State could use a tag line, "Forever Green," the State of Hawai'i would be the one. It is green almost everywhere you look. Of course we do have a bit of lava here and there (ya think?!). But even in the lava fields, even the newer ones, something green is growing. So how could I not buy the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper (DSP) with a name like Forevery … [Read more...] about Island Hopping – Forever Greenery!

Fun Facebook Challenge Group!

June 17, 2020 by Robin

Aloha, all! I am unabashedly a member of the Facebook community. Sharing my stories of what goes on in my little corner of the world in beautiful Hawai'i is something I enjoy. I also love seeing what other crafters are doing when it comes not making cards. Of course, that extends especially those who make use of Stampin' Up! products in their work. So it's not surprising that I belong to many … [Read more...] about Fun Facebook Challenge Group!
