I had so much fun at Cheryl Hamilton’s stamping event last month, and got some great inspiration as I work to design my own Christmas cards this year. For one thing, since I first saw the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper in the Stampin’ Up! 2019 Holiday Catalog, I’ve thought of it as a green and red Christmas paper. Not so!
There’s BLUE in that paper! Night of Navy blue, in fact. It’s only featured prominently in three of the plaids in the paper set, but those three are dynamite plaids!
For this card, we made a card base using Night of Navy Cardstock, and the three trees from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set were all stamped using Night of Navy Classic Ink. We stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the stamp set inside, along with another of the Christmas Tree stamps.
The one thing I like most about this card is that the trees are cut out with a Pine Tree Punch, and not a die. That means that you can punch a ton of those puppies in no time flat for a serious card-making session. Oh, and you can get the stamp set plus the punch as a Perfectly Plaid Bundle at a 10% discount!. That makes this grouping even better.
Oooh, and did you notice those darling snowflakes up in the “sky”? I carefully plucked them from the container of Snowflake Sequins that were on the table when we made this card. That is one great selection of snowflakes and sequins for the winter holidays!
I’ve included some information about the products I’ve mentioned in this write-up. If you see something else that you’d like to know about, just let me know and I’ll get back to you right away!
