I've been concentrating so much on (1) my Valentine's Cards and (2) challenge projects, that I forgot to pay attention to upcoming birthdays! I was even late with my Sister-in-Law's birthday, and that's one I should NEVER miss as she's a Stampin' Up! downline, and she deserves a nice Stampin' Up! card. Hers was the card I posted about on Monday. But then Shannon West of Stampin' Up! reminded us in a FB Live post that the Stampin' Up! "I'm Bringing Birthdays Back" stamp is still alive and well. Well – I started looking at my FB friends' birthdays, and, yikes! I needed to get cracking!
What I needed was something quick but yet still showing a bit of Stampin' Up! color. So I went looking around the internet for something fun but quick, and I came upon this design by fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Monika Davis. She's so darned talented, and this card fit the bill perfectly. So it's definitely a CASEd card (Copied And Shared with Everyone). But it's handmade, mostly Stampin' Up!, and I was quite pleased to send them out in the mail yesterday!
The sentiment is from the Watercolor Words Stamp Set. The papers are Real Red, So Saffron, and Pool Party. Those were the colors that Monika used, I thought they looked great, so why mess with perfection!? I stamped my sentiment in Real Red Classic Ink, placed some watermarked starfish in the background, and added a non-Stampin' Up! stitched border around the top and the sentiment layer. Done! And (best of all) mailed for the most part. I can breathe a bit before the last one has to go out in another week or so.
So while I was in the "get some quick cards made" mood, I also made some quick Valentine's Day Cards, and they had to go in the mail yesterday, too, or they weren't going to make it to the east coast in time for February 14th! I'll share those with you later this weekend. For now, I have to spend some time writing notes in all my Valentine's cards!
Time to catch my breath! Happy Stamping, to you!
