As I looked through all those wonderful cards and 3D projects I received in last month’s swap on O’ahu, I found that many of them used the same stamp sets, but it beautifully different ways. One of the stamp sets that was in many of the cards (not all of them made it in to the picture) was the Hello Cupcake Stamp Set. This stamp set is FREE with a $50 purchase through March 31st.
I just love showing how the very same stamps can create cards that are so different! The colors are different as is the way that the stamps have been layered up on the cards. Both the card on the left and the card on the right simply cover half of the cardfront with a piece of Designer Series Paper and then add a layer with the stamped cupcake. But one’s vertical and the other horizontal. One has the sentiment on the same layer as the cupcake, one has it on the background layer. The paper on the left card is from the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper Set, and the card on the right uses paper from the Happiness Blooms Set, both of which are in the Occasions Catalog. I’ve included a link to them both below in case you’d like to see what the whole set looks like – and buy it!
And that fun fold card in the middle is just so much, well, fun! I tried lots of different ways to photograph it to show you exactly what it is and does. But I think that will have to wait for my tutorial booklet later this Spring. I am certainly going to try to write a tutorial!
You may have read that there were some Framelits that went with this stamp set. Yes, there were. But those dies sold out quickly. Now that I’ve had a chance to examine this stamp set more closely, I can certainly see why. On the other hand, these stamps aren’t too very complicated; so a little fussy cutting will probably work well – but only if you order $50 worth of Stampin’ Up! products and then order the cupcake stamp set FOR FREE!
