Just before I left on my trip, I had to visit a friend who had been very ill, and was still recovering from some surgery. By the time I visited, she was doing a lot better. But I still wanted to give her some kind of a card that let her know I was thinking about her. I found the perfect sentiment in the Itty Bitty Greeting Stamp Set. Instead of saying, “Get Well Soon,” it said, “hope you’re feeling better.” That was exactly the right thought for this card.
As you might imagine, with getting ready for a trip and all the running around it entails, I didn’t have time for a leisurely session at my craft table. Nope, I needed to CASE (Copy and Share with Everyone) a card. What better place to find a card to CASE than a Stampin’ Up! Catalog!
You might remember that I mentioned a week or so ago that I’d not yet broken out my Bloom By Bloom Stamp Set. So first I snagged that from my stamp set shelf, then I went to the Stampin’ Up! 2019 Occasions Catalog, page 25 where the Bloom By Bloom Stamp Set was featured, and looked for something to CASE. Oh my gosh! There was the perfect card, and with almost the same sentiment!!!
Here is my take on the card on page 24 of the Occasions Catalog. I managed not to stamp the flowers just where they were “supposed” to be. So I added a few stamps to balance the image. But other than that, I pretty much was able to get this card done in record time! In fact, I love all the colors so much that I made sure to include all the colors in the icon list at the end of this post, just to show off those colors. They’re so much fun!
And my friend is feeling better, and I’m sure will be much more so when I return from my trip.
Don’t forget – the products in the Occasions Catalog are pretty much mostly available until the end of May. Many of the products may actually carry over into the new Annual Catalog which comes out in June. You can believe I’ll be sharing some of that information with you. I certainly hope that my experience with the new Stampin’ Up! catalog year is better in 2019 than it was with the lava in 2018!
