Aloha, al!
Well, this is it! The "scariest" day of the year, when witches and ghosts and goblins roam the land! Ooooh, and it's a Saturday night, so I'll bet there are lots of parties going on tonight, too. The one I wish I didn't have to miss is my niece's party in Maryland. I just cannot believe what she goes through to make her house just the perfect venue for the perfect Halloween party every year. I got to go once, and can hardly wait to do it again!
But it's also the last chance for me to show off a 2015 Halloween card. And once again I've added in some stamps from the September 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit.
Isn't this Jack-o-Lantern face from the Sparkly Seasons Stamp Set just the cutest! I don't like things that are scary for Halloween. I LOVE fun for this fun holiday, and this happy guy (gal?) certainly looks like he's having fun.
The colors through this card are Pumpkin Pie and Garden Green, with a touch of Basic Black Archival Ink. The striped paper is from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack. I stamped the circle and the jack-o-lantern face on a piece of the striped paper and then trimmed it by hand. I also trimmed the two leaves from the September 2015 Paper Pumpkin stamp set. Then I stamped the globe base onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, with Happy Halloween from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set. I stamped the stem and leaf after I'd adhered the globe, and colored them in – oooh, I forgot that little bit of Soft Suede that I used to color the stem.
Finally, I added a bit of Pumpkin Pie 1/4" Cotton Ribbon tied in a bow, and then layered everything up onto the card base.
You know what's scariest about tonight? Oooh, it's the end of Daylight Savings Time! So all of you on the U. S. mainland – except Arizona and a teensy bit of Indiana – be sure to "fall back" one hour before you turn in after a night of Halloween fun. Actually, it's not that scary when you realize that you get an extra hour's sleep after the partying!
