Aloha, all!
Here I am again with another fun set of colors that I used to make a card identical to the card I shared with you this past Wednesday.
Believe it or not, two of the colors are the same as in Wednesday's card. Yup, I used Calypso Coral and Mint Macaron once again! But this time I'm featuring another color I've not been using a lot, Night of Navy. If you look at all the cards that I've made with the Make a Medallion stamp set from Stampin' Up!, you'll notice that the stamp that has the points on the permimeter of the medallion circle stands out more than the other two stamps that are used for my design. When I made the Emerald Envy card last Sunday, I thought I'd just stamped that image a bit too hard. But now I can see that it's the way the stamp is designed. So, in the case of this card, even thought the Night of Navy is a darker color, the Calypso Coral stamp stands out more.
This is the basic repeating paragraph. The Designer Series Paper layer is Night of Navy from the Regals Designer Series Paper Stack. I cut the circles for both the Medallion and its mat using the Layering Circles Framelits set. For the small banner behind the circle layers, I cut a piece of Mint Macaron Cardstock using a framelit from the Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits set. I adhered the banner using SNAIL Adhesive and the circle layers using Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set. There are several sentiments in that set that will fit nicely into the center of the medallion – I just happen to have a slew of birthday cards I have to send out in the next month. And now I have them!
There are other stamps in this set that I haven't yet used, one of which is a fun stamp to add to the points in the pointed layer. Looks like a lot of work, though. Right now I'm into getting things done fast, so maybe I'll wait until life gets a bit less hectic!
Here are the products that I used in today's project.
