Aloha, all!
After I made yesterday’s card, I absolutely fell in love with the Butterflies in the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper set from this year’s Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-Bration Brochure! I’d originally looked at the paper and wondered if it was something I’d like. Now that I find that I can use my brand new Butterfly Duet Punch to punch images from the paper, I’m sold, sold, sold.
Are those punched butterflies not cute??? There are two whole sheets filled with butterflies that can be punched using the larger of the two butterflies in the Duet punch and two whole sheets filled with the smaller butterflies to cut out with the same punch. What’s not to like when you can make a card like this in no time at all!
I adhered each of the punched butterflies to the Polka Dot paper (also from the same Designer Series Paper set) using two rolled-up Mini Glue Dots behind the body of each butterfly. Before I did that, I bent the wings up slightly to give them a nice 3-dimensional look.
The card base is one of this year’s In Colors, Grapefruit Grove. That’s one of the colors featured in the Designer Series Paper set, and I think it really makes the colors in the butterflies pop! I used a bit of Basic Black Cardstock to accent the polka dot paper, and it also helps the butterflies pop by accenting the black features on each of the wings.
The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set, which you can buy in a bundle with the punch, saving 10% over the price of buying them individually. Just click on the bundle link below to order both the Stamp Set and the Punch with one number and save 10%.
And don’t forget that you can get this Designer Series Paper set FOR FREE from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure when you purchase any $50 worth of Stampin’ Up! products from now until the end of March.
I’ve ordered some more products from both the 2019 Occasions Catalog and the Sale-a-Bration Brochure, and I’ll be sharing them with you when I get them at the end of this week. Between now and then, I plan to fit at least one more blog post into the next step in our relocation experience. Our living room, dining room, and some bedroom furniture arrive this week. Yay for that, but I’ll be stopping to get old furniture out of the apartment and getting all my clothes out of my suitcase and into a dresser.
Have a great week!
