One of my favorite Facebook groups is one called, “Stampin’ Through the Catalog.” In fact, I do believe that this will be the first of many posts that I will share with you in which I follow along with the week’s featured stamp sets. Today’s stamp set is the new set, Daisy Lane, and its coordinating new Medium Daisy Punch.
The Daisy Lane Stamp Set is featured on page 23 of the Stampin’ Up! 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. It’s also bundled with the new Medium Daisy Punch, but also has a stamp with which you can use the oldie-but-goodie Daisy Punch. This card just uses the new Bundle.
For the flowers, I just punched out some Poppy Parade Cardstock using the punch and intertwined their petals to form a grouping of daisies. I used a Bone Folder to curl the petals towards the back and then adhered each daisy to the card front using a Stampin’ Dimensional. For the center of each Daisy, I added one of the Clear Faceted Gems.
I stamped the stems using Garden Green Ink, and simply randomly stamped them so that the top of the stems ended up grouped under the place I planned to adhere the Daisies. I could possibly have been a bit more exact, but I was just having fun stamping, so off I went!
I also used Garden Green Ink for the sentiment, which is from the same stamp set. When I put the card together, with the Poppy Parade mat under the Coastal Cabana sheet of Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper (DSP), I looked at that big open space in the upper right quadrant of the card and wondered if I needed to do anything with it. I decided that the splattered pattern in the DSP provided some texture of its own, so I just left it alone, and that was that for the card!
As I said today’s stamp set is Daisy Lane. But it’s not just today’s set here at Robin’s Craft Room. It’s also the featured stamp set on Facebook at the Stampin’ Through the Catalog group! You’ll certainly get some more ideas about how to use this stamp set over there if you’re a Facebook Fanatic!
