Handmade Gifts are “IN” This Year!

November 8, 2008 by Robin

When I add up all the people for whom I'd LIKE to buy a Christmas, the numbers just don't, well, add up.  Many years I make gifts for friends and family, and this year will be one of those years for sure!  As you have seen with my posts earlier this week, I already have the designs for some stationery sets, and I'll be making several different sets, with different colors of inks, card … [Read more...] about Handmade Gifts are “IN” This Year!

Pocket Silhouettes – So Versatile!

November 7, 2008 by Robin

The last few days, I've been featuring cards that I've made as gift sets.  One of the stamp sets that I used was Pocket Silhouettes (item number 111672, if you'd like to order online).  Here is another card that I made using the same stamp set, but using different techniques.  For this card, I stamped three of the flower images using Whisper White Craft Ink (101731) on Baja Breeze … [Read more...] about Pocket Silhouettes – So Versatile!

Cards by Robin – A Gift for You!

November 6, 2008 by Robin

Yesterday I showed you samples of a set of cards that I made for a friend to give as gifts.  I made four Note Cards, and included those and the envelopes in this coordinating folder.  Again, I used the Green Tea Designer Series Paper (112040) on the folder made with Baja Breeze card stock (111352).  The luscious Double-sided Satin Ribbon (111879) is just the perfect embellishment to … [Read more...] about Cards by Robin – A Gift for You!

As part of my Stampin' Up! business, I make stationery sets for all occasions, using Stampin' Up! products (they are the best, after all!).  This week I'm working on invitations for a reception that will take place next month, and I just completed several sets of cards for a dear friend to give as gifts to people who are helping her during a current illness. Missing Hawai’i

October 25, 2008 by Robin

Aloha, all! We're still in North Carolina, and I'm missing Hawai'i and the Craft Room.  But I've been having a blast working with my two granddaughters, Morgan and Kiara, to make the baby book (pictures to come next week!) for their new little brother and to make some Halloween Decorations that will stay on the east coast. To help me feel more at home, I thought I'd share one of the … [Read more...] about Missing Hawai’i

Talking Turkey!

October 22, 2008 by Robin

It's only a month until Thanksgiving Day!  It can't be a real Thanksgiving Table at our house without something handmade (besides the dinner) on the table.  This is my first try at using two great lines of products from Stampin' Up! to make our table decorations.  The napkin ring is made using Stampin' Up! punches--the little feathers are made using the Scallop Circle Punch … [Read more...] about Talking Turkey!

Fun With World Card Making Day

October 19, 2008 by Robin

I had lots of fun last week with some design challenges for World Card Making Day, which was earlier this month.  I made this card with some colors that are so "not me"!  But this combination of Baja Blue, Tangerine Tango, and Old Olive just jumped out and said, "Use Us!"   I also used one of the Scallop Dies for the Sizzix and a bit of bling (also so … [Read more...] about Fun With World Card Making Day
