Hi, There, Stampers!
Welcome to March 2023 – and a New Stampin’ Up! Product Line!
Today is the first day of the first of Stampin’ Up!’s new “Online Exclusive” product releases. These are going to happen several times during the year between the dates of catalog (mini and annual) releases. As I write this I am aware of only part of the March 1st product release. Once I see the whole line of products, I’ll write more about them. For now, though, I thought I’d share what I’ve been doing with the part of the online product release that we demonstrators were allowed to order last month. It’s called the Hello, Irresistible Suite Collection (161154).
Love the Designer Series Paper
Have you noticed that Stampin’ Up! has been designing papers that work with their punches and dies? The first few times I was a bit skeptical that just cutting images out of paper would allow me to create a beautiful card. It sounded something that I would have made in grade school.
But the Hello, Irresistible collection has definitely banished that idea. When I saw the samples that they showed in their introductory flyer about this suite, I knew I had to see if I could create cards that I liked just as much as theirs. Success! And I did it with die-cut images.
A Card With Several of the Suite Products
This card is made with several products from the new suite of products. The Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper (161139)is the background. The stamped splash marks and the die-cut image in the center are from the Irresistible Blooms Bundle (161150) also from the suite. But what I’d like you to focus on for this article are those beautiful flowers. The flowers and the leaves aren’t stamped – they’re die-cut from prints in the same paper set as the background layer. The idea for this card came from a square card in one of the Stampin’ Up! product flyers.
And Another Card – Quick and Easy!
This card is also based on a card in a Stampin’ Up! flyer. And those flowers and leaves are also die-cut from the same set of papers. No fancy stamping and embossing here. Just some quick and easy die-cutting using the Irresistible Blooms Dies (161149).
Now, Just How Did I Do This?
I’m going to focus on three of the prints in the Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper (161139) set that’s now on sale.
This first sheet has images you can cut with both floral outline dies in the Irresistible Blooms Dies. There are three of the larger flowers available to cut on this sheet and four of the smaller flowers. You can take this entire 6” x 6” sheet of paper and run it through the full-size Stampin’ Cut ‘n Emboss machine. Notice how the color of this print moves from yellow to pink. There are several different colors of flowers that can be cut.
The sheet on the right is the same print as the first, but colored mostly with a darker pink. When you cut from this paper, the flowers are going to be a bolder color than when you cut from the first sheet.
On the left is one of two sheets with leaves that you can cut with three of the dies in the Irresistible Blooms die set. You can actually get all three dies onto the paper at the same time for one run through the cutting machine. I didn’t try to count the number of leaf sets you can get from this. But it’s a lot!
A Bit More About Online Exclusive Products
When Stampin’ Up! introduced demonstrators to this new way of releasing products, this is what Stampin’ Up! wrote:
“Online Exclusives will be our method for releasing new products outside of catalog publications. The selection will often include more products than we have previously released in Early Release and Out of Publication offerings, and the products will not have a set end date to their availability. We are excited about this new, expanded approach to offer brand new products more frequently throughout the year.”
So now you know as much as I know about how long these products will be available.
One other thing that is different is that we demonstrators were not given complete advance information about the products that are available starting today. We were just given a partial list of products that we could order. That allowed me to make these projects and write this article ahead of the release. If there are other products released today, you can be sure that I’ll be ordering them to write about them as soon as I can!
Happy Stamping!
