When my friend, Donna, was in Hilo earlier this month, we crafted a LOT! We spent one crafting day using only the FREE THOUGHTFUL BLOOMS STAMP and PUNCH from the 2020 Sale-a-bration Catalog! Donna wanted proof that these were the products that she should buy when she placed a $150 order for Stampin’ Up! products. So off I went to find some quick samples for us to make in our next session.
My first choice was this card, which features not only the fab stamp set and punch combo, but also the beautiful Brick and Mortar Embossing Folder. This folder is in the current Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.
How I Stamped The Flowers and Leaves
I first stamped the leaves, using Garden Green Ink. Then I embossed the Whisper White Cardstock layer using the Brick and Mortar Embossing Folder. Finally I stamped three flowers using Highland Heather, then I punched them using the Small Bloom Punch. I adhered them to the card front using Mini Glue Dots.
Stamping and Die-Cutting the Sentiment Element
The smallest frame in the Ornate Frames Die set not only cuts the outside edge, but also cuts a small square out of the center. So I first die-cut one frame out of Garden Green Cardstock. Then I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock and die-cut another frame, making sure to center the sentiment. Finally, I adhered only the small square with the sentiment into the middle of the Garden Green frame.
Finishing the Card
Once the top layer of the card was finished, I adhered that to a layer of Garden Green Cardstock, which I then adhered it to a card base of Thick Whisper White Cardstock. For the final touch, I added Pearl Basic Jewels to the center of each flower. Done!
I’ll be featuring the other cards Donna and I made in our whirlwind crafting session in my next few blog posts. The stamp set and punch really are a good use of your Sale-a-Bration freebies!
