Aloha, all!
I was surprised last week when I received in the mail a lovely card from a woman in one of my clubs thanking me for the work I’d been doing for the club. In it, she included two gift cards to the grocery store where I do most of my shopping. I had bought Christmas candies for a project I did for the club, and I have no doubt that this is her way of repaying me for what I bought. So unnecessary but oh, so thoughtful!
So I needed a Thank You card, and once again I went to the new Music from the Heart Stamp Set that’s in the Stampin’ Up! January – June 2020 Mini Catalog. Besides the “Just a Note” sentiment in this set is also the phrase, ” of Thanks.” Put those two together and you have the perfect sentiment for a Thank You card.
For my layout this time, I took an idea from one of the cards in the catalog to make yet another hand-stamped background for my card. The Daffodil Delight card shown on page 57 of the new Mini Catalog has the staff stamped over the entire background, with notes placed on it randomly. Instead of the yellow Daffodil color for my card, I chose Mint Macaron as my main color, and accented it with another color in the Stampin’ Up! “Subtles” collection, Blushing Bride. I love the pink and pale green together and the way it came out in this layout didn’t disappoint me. And I’m sure it won’t disappoint my friend, either!
Besides the new stamp set images in this card, I also used the brand new Mint Macaron 1/8″ Sheer Linen Ribbon as an accent. All of the rest of the products I used in making this card are shown below. Feel free to click on any of the icons to check any of them out on my personal Stampin’ Up! website. And don’t forget that Stampin’ Up!’s annual Sale-a-Bration event is underway. For every $50 in products that you purchase (clearance rack included) you may choose a product FOR FREE from the Sale-a-Bration brochure.
Don’t forget to let me know if you’d like one of the new catalogs and the Sale-a-Bration brochure. I still have a few left that I’ll send out FOR FREE!
Happy Stamping!
