One Stamp Set, One Set of Papers, Make a Gift Pack, Part 3

November 29, 2022 by Robin

Hi, There, Stampers!

I’m so glad to be back in business and hope it stays that way through the rest of the holidays!

Before I was taken out of commission for a time, I’d finished making a few gifts sets of a variety of greeting cards. They’re great handmade gifts for any occasion. But this year I’m going to be happy to be giving handmade gifts rather than having to go shopping, either in a store or online. In fact, I’ll even have a handmade box to package my stationery gifts. I’ll have an article about that before too long (well, depending on how long I can sit and craft then write!).

A Different Color This Time

The last two projects in this series have had what I think of as typical floral colors – pinks, red, violets. But the Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper set also features quite a bit of yellow – as in this print with lemons.

And Then There’s the Flower

You’ll notice in the picture above with all the lemons that there are lemon flowers, too. In that picture they’re definitely white. But I took a bit of artistic license and made the flower in the other two squares yellow. I tried just leaving them white. But I didn’t think that they stood out very well. So that was MY artistic thinking. I’m wondering what yours might be!

The Rest of the Card

As with the prior two cards, I used a sentiment from the Full of Love Stamp Set. In fact, with this card, I’ve used all three of the sentiments from that set. Love it! I used the Fern 3D Embossing Folder to give some texture to the Basic White Cardstock in the background. The back layer is Garden Green Cardstock. I also used my Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker to color the leaves in the Daffodil Delight Flower. The actual yellow in the Designer Paper is Crushed Curry. But that color just look too dark for me, so I, with my artistic sense, went with the Daffodil color. What’s your artistic sense on this?

The Sketch

Here’s the sketch for this card. So now you have the sketches for all 3 cards. Just make a couple of each and you have a great gift for the holidays!

I have been stamping and paper crafting for over 30 years, and have been an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for 14 years.

My favorite part of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is teaching others to enjoy crafting themselves. Not only do I conduct classes in person, I write tutorials for teaching anyone who has internet access. No matter if you're in my area in The Villages in Florida or anywhere else in the world, let me know if there's something you'd like to learn! Read More…
