Aloha, all!
Another Stampin’ Up! stamp set that will be retiring next month is one of my all-time favorites – Music From the Heart. I am Treasurer of the Hawai’i Concert Society, and I often have opportunities to send cards to friends and acquaintances. This stamp set is one I rely on for that.
Forget Your Trebles
One of my fellow members of the Concert Society Board has been dealing with some difficult medical issues over the past year or so. But through it all she has maintained such a cheerful and loving demeanor that it’s hard to believe she’s not well. I had the chance to chat with her earlier this week, and she was just so upbeat. I’d originally hesitated to send her a card with this sentiment. But after our conversation, I thought she might get a kick out of it.
I just love coloring in all the hearts that show up on the stamps in this stamp set. So I created this black and white card with red accents that gave me a great excuse to color in the treble clefs with the extra swirls. I’m also totally in love with the Label Me Fancy Punch with the ability to cut slits at the ends (or, I guess top and bottom?) to allow a ribbon to weave in an out. For this card, I used the not-retiring Real Red 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon to weave through the punched label.
This card can be made with lots of stamp sets and colors – a Newsletter Focus
I created this card specifically to use for a layout to include in one of my newsletters. Lately I’ve been focusing on including tutorials or card layouts with measurements that you can use with whatever you have on hand. I can imagine that right now is a time when not everyone is able to think about spending money on more craft supplies. So, yes, I do promote Stampin’ Up! products when I write my newsletter. But that’s not the only thing I do. I’d love for you to buy my Stampin’ Up! products. But I also hope that you rely on me for designs and tutorials that help you have more fun as you create in your own home.
The bottom line: if you’d like my tutorials and card layouts, my newsletter is the place to find them. You can sign up over on the right. The layout for today’s project, along with another fun tutorial, will be in my next newsletter comping up in a few days.
Stay well and Happy Stamping!
