Aloha, all!
I’ll bet that your life and mine have both been taken over by the holidays the last several weeks. The last three days since New Year’s Day have been a blur of undecorating, furniture moving, and house cleaning. Yes, I got a lot done. But nothing that I got done at all moved me forward in accomplishing some things that I have wanted to get done.
So today is the first day in this New Year of 2020 that I’m really going to accomplish something. For today, that something is writing notes to some friends that I’ve been neglecting for far too long. Of course, you must know what that brings to my mind – what kind of a card am I going to make to use to write these notes?
Here’s the first one, using one of the new stamp sets in the Stampin’ Up! January – June 2020 Catalog. It’s the Music From the Heart Stamp Set, and it’s one of the first sets I bought when we demonstrators had the chance to pre-order products from the new catalog.
If you look at the list of products below, you’ll see that the background layer is NOT designer paper. I made that background simply by stamping and restamping three of the musical notes in the stamp set. Actually, I put all three of the note stamps on an acrylic block and twisted and turned it every which way to stamp all over the card front – that made it really quick! I did have to be a little careful not to jumble them up too much, and I think I didn’t do too bad a job.
Now to go write that note! The friend who will get this goes to all of the classical concerts that the Hawai’i Concert Society puts on here in Hilo each season. So I know she’ll appreciate this as much as she’ll certainly appreciate getting a hand-written note from me!
I hope you’re doing something today that makes your day count! Making someone else smile for any reason will accomplish that!
Happy stamping!
