Aloha, all!
Where have I been and where did September go???? Well, I’ve been right here in my apartment working to get ready for our new windows FINALLY! to be installed. We signed a contract on those windows well over a year (yes, YEAR) ago, and come Monday, the installation will begin. There were lots of bumps along the way, mostly due to local government ineptitude (a building permit to replace windows??? Come on!). But now I’m so ready for them.
And enough of that, though I may share a before and after photo or two when it’s all done. For now, I want to share with you some fun with card-making that I had a couple of weeks ago with my friend, Cheryl Hamilton, and her team at a stamping event at her home in Maui.
All of the cards at the event featured products from the Stampin’ Up! 2019 Holiday Catalog, including this little guy who’s featured in the Birds of a Feather Stamp Set. There are four “birds” in this set, including a Halloween Duck which you’ve already seen here, a Thanksgiving turkey (naturally), and a rooster holding a cute little heart (yes, Valentine’s Day is in this group!). Each of the birds has at least one sentiment that goes along with it, and the “wishing you a Joyful Christmas from our little flock” sentiment is on the inside of this card.
The colors featured here are those in the fun Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper – Coastal Cabana, Real Red and Whisper White. Coastal Cabana is a new Christmas color for me, but it does seem to work, especially with some of the paper from that paper set included in the card.
I love the little copper colored star from the Star Designer Elements Set that’s also in the Holiday Catalog. But the nicest touch as far as I’m concerned is that fluffy Snowfall Accents Puff Paint on the little bird’s hat. That is just so much fun. Hint: Be sure to heat set it to make it puff up!
You can click on any of the product pictures below to go to my personal Stampin’ Up! store to learn more about them – and even buy them any time, 24/7! Of course, you can always call or e-mail me, too, if you’d like some more information.
Happy Stampin!

Love your card!! The colors are so pretty & I love that little bird!
Your team does such nice work with their projects. I’m so glad to have a bunch of these cards for Christmas this year!
