After all these Christmas card posts this week, I’m ready for a bit of a change. But that won’t last for long. The reason it won’t last is that Stampin’ Up!’s August – December 2020 Mini Catalog (otherwise known as the “Holiday Catalog”) will hit the Internet. That catalog will also hit the mailboxes of my customers a day or two earlier. I hope they will be looking through it carefully for their first August order!
This Card Comes from THREE Catalogs/Brochures!
But just because there may not be a Holiday Catalog in full force, doesn’t mean that we can’t have some fun with Christmas cards. This card has products from the already-released Annual Catalog as well as from the upcoming Mini Catalog. But it also has a product from the 2020-21 beginner’s brochure called, Make Beautiful Things.
You’re already seen some cards I’ve made with the Jar of Flowers Stamp Set. That stamp set has several stamps to make flowers to fit into the jar. But this poinsettia stamp is not one of them. The poinsettia is from the Four Seasons Floral Stamp Set in the “Make Beautiful Things” brochure. As it’s just a smallish stamp, I stamped 3 of them for the bouquet in this jar. I know you don’t usually see poinsettias in a bouquet. But, hey, I’m calling it artistic license! I colored the flowers and leaves with Stampin’ Blends – Real Red, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and (for the centers) Mango Melody. I just colored the flowers with no blending. I just love the way that the Stampin’ Blends color things!
Now for What’s In the New Mini Catalog
Four of the products that I used in this card will be available in the new Mini Catalog. The first is that delicious Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper. As I’ve said before, I love its red and green theme. The next product, continuing with the red and green theme, is the Poppy Parade Ribbon from the All The Trimmings Ribbon Combo Pack. I layered that behind the sentiment layer. The sentiment is from the Banner Year Stamp Set, and I punched both pieces of cardstock in the layer with the new Banner Pick a Punch. (Hint: The stamp set and punch can be purchased as a bundle at a 10% discount!)
Don’t Forget – This is the last day for Bonus Days!
