Hi, There, Stampers!
Last week I had a house guest who happens to be a long-time Stampin’ Up! demonstrator friend. I’ve known Pam for just about all of the 10 years that she’s been a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I hadn’t seen her in 5 or 6 years, so it was great to have a day or so to spend with her. Of course we did some card-making and of course they were Valentine’s cards. By the time Valentine’s Day 2023 is done, you’ll have seen the cards I made while she was here.
But today I want to focus on the design of a card Pam made. I’m just amazed at the artistic sense that she has. And I just had to try my hand at the same design. I think when you look at the design, you may try it out, too. It will work with lots more than just with Valentines.
This Card is So Simple but Elegant
There really isn’t much to this card. I stamped some of the stem and small Valentine images from the Country Bouquet Stamp Set. Then I added two strips of Basic White Cardstock vertically just to the right of the center of the card. Finally, I stamped and punched the large hearts and leaves using the (currently unavailable) Country Bouquet Punch. I’m so sorry that this punch sold out so quickly. But it will come back just in time for some weddings, showers and anniversaries that are sure to proliferate in May and June.
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the larger hearts and leaves, placing them to the left and right of the edges of the two vertical strips.
And a Fun Embellishment
One of the first new embellishment packs I bought when the Stampin’ Up! 2022-23 Annual Catalog was released was the Heart Pearls. Would you believe I totally forgot about them until it came to Valentine’s Day? Of course you would! I love to buy new things and then forget to use them. Now that I have those Heart Pearls on my radar, I’ll definitely be using them more often – and not just for Valentine’s Day!
Just Four More Days Until Valentine’s Day! Happy Stamping!
