Well, I managed to go away for a week’s vacation to celebrate my birthday last week WITHOUT scheduling any blog posts. So this week and next, I’m trying to make up for that! Today I’ve got what I almost consider an oldie-but-goodie. But it can’t be that because there’s so much in the project that’s barely two months old!
Another On Stage Project
Earlier this week I shared a project that I made with some sister Stampin’ Up! demonstrators BEFORE November’s On Stage event. Today I’m going to share one last project that we all made AT On Stage. It’s another Celebration card. So I guess this week is a week of celebration!
The featured colors for this card are Pool Party and Petal Pink. The Pool Party-colored Designer Series Paper is in the Parisian Blossoms Specialty set that’s in the Stampin’ Up! 2020 January-May Mini Catalog. So is the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set that features the flowers we stamped onto the Designer Series Paper. Oh, and there’s the Petal Pink 1/4″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon from the catalog, too! All of them are on Page 15 as part of the Parisian Blossoms Suite of products.
A Slight Revision
You might imagine that things are hectic at an event such as On Stage. And you would be correct! That’s why, once I got home and chose the recipient for this card, I made an adjustment. I decided that the piece of vellum cardstock behind the main layer was not at a big enough angle. So I took the card apart and re-angled (is that a word?) the vellum. I sent it out as a birthday card to a favorite niece before I thought to photograph the new card.
So my message for today is, “Don’t hesitate to take a card apart and do it over if you don’t like it!” If you need any hints about how to do that without ruining the whole thing, just sent me an e-mail with your questions!
