Hi, There, Stampers!
Do you remember a few days ago when I saw I needed to start getting into Fall and Winter card-making mode? When I wrote that, I forgot that one of the FREE PAPER SETS in the current Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration Brochure has papers for both themes in its set.
A Set of Many Themes
The Stampin’ Up! Rings of Love Designer Series Paper has 12 different patterns in it, and almost that many different themes. Depending on how you evaluate colors, I’d say that there are definitely two prints with Autumn themes and two prints with Christmas/Winter themes. But there’s no doubt that the two papers that I’m showing in the two cards in today’s article have an Autumn Theme (on the left) and a Christmas Theme (on the right).
The bottom line: You can use this FREE SET OF PAPERS right through the end of the year – and even longer depending on how fast you can use it up.
How Many FREE Sale-a-bration Products?
As you can probably see, the leaves in the Rings of Love print in my Autumn card are oak leaves. The shape and the acorns give that away. The colors, I’m not so sure. I’ve never seen a blue oak leaf in the wild. But, hey. This is art, so we can color things any way we wish. Which is why it didn’t bother me at all to use aspen leaves in the basket that is featured in this card. To accent the basket, from the Full Basket Die set, with its leaves die-cut with the Aspen Tree Dies, I texturized the Very Vanilla Cardstock background using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.
Three!!
That’s how many products in this card you can get FOR FREE by placing a Stampin’ Up! orders of up to $50 or $100 BEFORE THURSDAY! The way that works: If you spend $50 you can get the Rings of Love Paper or the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. If you spend $100, you can get them both FOR FREE. Or, with that $100 purchase, you can get the Aspen Tree Dies FOR FREE. To see another use of that die set, check out this post from a few days ago.
A Quick and Easy Christmas Card
I was just going to make the Autumn card. But then I changed my mind and made a card to show off the Poinsettia Print by making a Christmas card. When I laid them side-by-side, I couldn’t choose. So this article is a two-fer.
The simplicity of this card is that the only layer on the card base is the 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of the print from the Rings of Love paper set. The main colors in this print are Poppy Parade and Evening Evergreen. The only decorations are the Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon and the stamped and die-cut banner from the Christmas Banners Bundle.
And I ‘m Making Multiples
This card was so easy that I made up two of them because I had enough paper out for that. In fact, I think I’ll just use up all of my poinsettia print this week and make a bunch of cards. I can get enough 5-1/4″ x 4″ pieces out of one sheet of the paper to make 6 cards. Here’s the simple way to cut the paper. Then all I need is a 12″ piece of the ribbon. With two sheets of the paper in one set, I’ll only need 4 yards of the ribbon, an there are 10 yards in each roll. So I should have plenty and a great start on my 2022 Christmas Cards!
