The Stampin’ Is So Much Fun!
While I’ve made this fold design before, I’ve never had so much fun as I did with this Halloween version. I just loved stamping all those Pumpkins, from the Pick of the Patch Stamp Set, along two long sides of this card. There’s a punch that comes with the Pick of the Patch Bundle that punches two of the pumpkins along with the stem and a set of leaves. For this card, I used the punch to punch two of the pumpkins on the cover of the card – the two to the right of the three. I fussy-cut the third gourd.
For the colors I chose Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, and Mossy Meadow. I also used Mossy Meadow for the stems, vines and the bit of color in the Crushed Curry gourd at the left of the patch on the card cover.
Why This Fold Is a Favorite
One feature that I like all my cards to have is that they can sit nicely on a horizontal surface. With the full-size front and back card layers, this card fits that bill. I’m not always going to be able to have this feature in cards I made – but definitely 90% of the time!
About That Designer Series Paper
If you’ve been through the Stampin’ Up! winter mini catalog, you’ve noticed the fun Halloween Designer Series Paper in the catalog. It’s called, Them Bones. Now I’m not personally a fan of all the bones in the catalog this year. But there sure are a lot of fun non-bone theme prints in this set, including several with the Pumpkin Pie color. Unfortunately, I no longer have any of that. So I looked around for another set that might have something I could use. Lo and behold, there was this gorgeous Pumpkin Pie print in the very unlikely paper set, Stargazing. That’s the paper in this card.
