Aloha, all!
Once again, I’ve put a couple of cards together that have something in common. In this case, both cards feature an inside pocket into which you can put a gift card, a folded check, or even some cash! I love cards that make this easy for me!
These cards really are easy to make, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the stampers who made them used the same tutorial for their cards! I’m not going to go into a full-blown tutorial here, but I can share my take on how the card is cut then put back together.
Cut a standard-sized A2 card base (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″) and fold it in half (shown by the dashed line). Unfold it and mark the bottom of what will be the front of the card 3-1/4″ in from the left edge. Then, using the Stampin’ Trimmer, cut from the bottom edge of the front up to the fold. Finally, adhere the shorted piece of the card front to the inside of the card, placing the adhesive of your choice along the area shown by the blue lines.
Then simply decorate the front of the card. The top layer on the larger side of the card is 3″ x 4″ and that on the smaller side of the card is 2″ x 4″. The center piece on the card in the left in the photo above is made up of two layers. The bottom layer is 2-3/4″ x 2-1/4″ cardstock, with a 2-1/2″ x 2″ piece of cardstock as the top layer. Basically, you’ll want to make that center piece the size to fit the sentiment and/or decorations you want to include.
Graduations, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Easter – they’re all coming up. This is the PERFECT card for all of them!
Happy stamping!

Here are some of the products used in these cards. I think the Stampin’ Trimmer is indispensable for a card such as this!
