A Christmas Print from Celebrate Everything

September 13, 2022 by Robin

Hi, There, Stampers!

Last week’s posts (well, one slipped into this week) had to do with the Halloween prints in the Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper set. For the rest of this week, I’ll show you some of the prints in the paper set that I think are perfect for Christmas.

Pink Works for Christmas?

Of course Pink works! Especially when it’s full of white snowflakes. And this print is definitely that. There is even that white blurriness that happens when that snow is really falling fast, with lots of small flakes and a few so big you can almost see their shape.

I Love the Monochrome Look

As I studied this paper, trying to decide on a design, it occurred to me that any-color-and-white just cries out for a monochrome design. So my decision was to embrace the Polished Pink color and accent it with white.

Embracing the color involved first getting out a piece of Polished Pink Cardstock to see where that took me. Well, a bit of Basic White Cardstock for a stamped layer might work well? But what to stamp? Aha. Not a stamp – an embossed picture! So out came the Wintry Embossing Folders, specifically the one with snowflakes.

Then Things Kept Snowballing (?)

The layout finally came into focus, and there was that Polished Pink Cardstock all ready to be a mat for a center layer of white snowflakes. You might guess that I thought a plain rectangle would be too, well, plain. So out came the Basic Borders Dies to make something a bit frillier.

Now that I was fully into the Polished Pink theme, I had to use some of that luscious Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon somewhere on the card.

The final touch was a sentiment from the Trimming the Tree Stamp Set. I used the Double Oval Punch to create both ovals and adhered that to the embossing layer, again using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

There Are More Christmas Prints to Come – With Tutorials!

I’ll be back later in the week with examples of Christmas cards using four more prints from the Celebrate Everything Stamp Set. There will be some fun folds in these samples, and I’ll be sharing tutorials for those in future newsletters. Be sure to sign up for my newsletter up at the top of the column on the right if you’d like to get them!

Happy Stamping!
