This Easter Bunny is the Star!

April 10, 2020 by Robin

Bunny

Aloha, all! Beginning last month, and continuing until we get it done, one of my favorite Stampin' Up! demonstrator online groups is updating their tutorials. And as part of that process, those of us who are members are volunteering to help make the samples and rewrite tutorials using up-to-date products. Today's project is one of the first that I made for this project. Introducing the Center … [Read more...] about This Easter Bunny is the Star!

I Miss You!

March 28, 2020 by Robin

Aloha, all! With all this time on my hands as I no longer have meetings or appointments scheduled every day (or so it seemed), I'm making cards. Are you surprised? Probably not. But I do have a LARGE stash of Stampin' Up! products and a LOT of people whom I don't get to see as much as I used to. Put those together, and my favorite card of late is one that says, "I miss you." The Botanical … [Read more...] about I Miss You!

An Oldie but Goodie Technique: Stained Glass!

January 28, 2020 by Robin

Aloha, all! I have been SOOOO fortunate to have a really good friend visiting this month. Her house is in my former neighborhood where most of the homes were destroyed in the 2018 Kilauea Lava Eruption. Her house is still standing, but is not in the most wonderful shape after all that went on back then. What she loves most of all is her garden, and she returns several times a year to work on … [Read more...] about An Oldie but Goodie Technique: Stained Glass!

Cards Aren’t Just for Christmas!

December 12, 2019 by Robin

Aloha, all! This time of the year it's hard to think of any kind of greeting cards except Christmas (or other holiday) cards. But December is also just another month of the year, and every month has birthdays, illnesses, and just someone that I know who could use a simple "Thinking of You" card. While I do usually keep a stash of cards around for just such occasions, two things came into … [Read more...] about Cards Aren’t Just for Christmas!

New Products for a Fun Fold Card!

November 1, 2019 by Robin

Aloha, all! Earlier this week I shared some samples of how I used the new Christmastime Is Here Designer Series Paper and two of the new embellishments in the Christmastime Is Here suite - the Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon and Gold Glitter Enamel Dots. Today I have one project that uses all three of these, along with just three products from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. I made this card … [Read more...] about New Products for a Fun Fold Card!

Coloring Colored Paper? Yes!

October 15, 2019 by Robin

Aloha, all! Earlier this month, I entered a challenge to add my own colors to one of Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Papers to show how they can be changed to make our own unique project. I had just finished a project using the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper set, which includes designs that are just white and one color. While the striped and checkered designs worked for me, I had a hard … [Read more...] about Coloring Colored Paper? Yes!

A Fun Card for Every Stamper!

September 25, 2019 by Robin

Aloha, all! Once again, it's the last Wednesday of the month, and it's time for the monthly Island Hopping Blog Hop featuring me, Robin Messenheimer, from Hawai'i's Big Island and Cheryl Hamilton from the island of Maui. This month we're featuring not only an upcoming holiday (Halloween), but we're showing off how stampers at all levels of crafting experience might create a card using the same … [Read more...] about A Fun Card for Every Stamper!
