Hi, Everyone!
One of my favorite stamp sets in the Stampin’ Up! 2021-2022 Annual Catalog is Seascape. And I also love the Sea Life Dies that were bundled with it. I don’t always buy Stampin’ Up!’s bundles – lots of reasons – but I couldn’t resist this bundle. If you at all love ocean scenes, this is a perfect bundle for you! And, at the rate that Stampin’ Up! stamp sets are selling out, best you order it sooner than later – or you’re going to be disappointed!
Stamp Sets are Selling Out Fast
I just now checked the “Discontinued” list and find that there are 64 Stamp Sets that have already sold out! And it’s only April 5th. Imagine what it’s going to be like come May 2nd, the last day to buy discontinued items. Sure, though products still left on May 3rd may eventually end up in Stampin’ Up!’s Clearance Rack. But if it’s discontinued, there are going to be none for the Clearance Rack!
Here is a link to the list of discontinued products as of right now. If you ever want an update, just ask me and I’ll get it for you.
Seascape is NOT Sold Out (Yet)
For today’s card, I used one stamp from the Stamp Set (the sea grass) and one die from the Die Set (the cute little fish). The fish die has two little gold fish, one facing left and one facing right. So I die-cut the Paper Pumpkin Cardstock twice.
To make the sea grass stand out a bit, I decided to heat embossed the stamped image. For this I had to use the Stamparatus, Stampin’ Up!’s Stamp Positioning Tool. I first stamped the images using Old Olive Ink. Then I stamped them again using Versamark before sprinkling on Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossing the images with the Heat Tool.
The final touch for the card front are sequins from the Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels (no longer available, sigh).
Some Other Samples Using This Bundle
If you’re still on the fence with this Stamp Set/Die Set Bundle, here are links to a couple of other cards I made when the current Annual Catalog was new. Here’s one where I used the (not retiring) Layering Diorama Dies. And another card where I used the (also not-retiring) Watercolor Shapes Stamp Set, featuring the die-cut Sea Horse.
Update!
Apparently I managed to publish this blog post without finishing it. Did I mention that we are still in the middle of getting some things done with our new house? Goodness, I get sidetracked much too often these days. Anyway, this stamp set and bundle are STIL NOT SOLD OUT as of mid-April. There’s still time to order it!
Happy Stamping!
