Aloha, all!
The very first suite of products in the Stampin' Up! 2013 Spring Catalog is the Tea for Two Suite. It took me awhile to want to play with it – because there was so much ELSE in this catalog!. But I've finally gotten around to at least using the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper.
One of the things about this paper that I noticed right off was that there is a lot of text on one of the sheets, just as there is on the First Edition Specialty Series Papers. But the text on the sheet that's featured here is large and colorful. So cutting part of the text off wasn't as easy as with the First Edition. But I did want to show the paper off, so I worked with it a bit to help it "make sense" when my card was finished. What I ended up with it a note card more than a greeting card. I frequently see cards such as one like this in stationery stores. The cards are meant to be interestingly artistic rather than simply greeting cards. So I'm considering my card "interestingly artistic"!
One of the "interesting" pieces on this card front is the small blue sunflower in the "teapot." This flower is one of the "Best of" sets that Stampin' Up! is creating for this, its 25th Anniversary Year. So far there have been three such sets, and this flower is one of hte "Best of Flowers" set. If you'd like to know more about these sets, just send me an e-mail and I'll get information right out to you! Oh – that this flower was made specifically for the new 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch.
There are other products that are part of the Tea for Two product line, and I'm going to try to get some of those made up as part of my blog posts before too long!
