Aloha, all!
Back in the Spring, Stampin' Up!'s Occasions Mini Catalog featured a suite of products that all went together beautifully (well, when has Stampin' Up! NOT done that!?). The stamp set, Bordering on Romance, went wonderfully well with the Designer Series Paper, Twitterpated, and the Adorning Accents Folders and Framelits.
As it so happens, all of those products from the Occasions Mini are also in the brand new Stampin' Up! 2012-13 Annual Catalog! But that was Spring – this is summer!!! And we're into the Bright Summer Days theme at the SUO Challenges blogsite. So I thought I'd drop the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper, but bring out all those other products and see what I could do to make a Bright Summer Days card!
If these aren't bright summer colors, I don't know what is!! I played around with all my "brights" Stampin' Up! colors and decided on Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, and Real Red. I also added in some Lucky Limeade, just because the Designer Series Paper set I was using for this happened to have that in its color combination. Summer Smooches is the paper set I used for this card, but, after a bit more fussing around, I decided on just the Tangerine Tango sheet. The other sheets are delightfully colorful, but they just seemed a bit too busy with all the other things that were going on with this card.
The greeting is from the Stamp Set, Curly Cute and the ribbon is one of the brand new 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbons – Daffodil Delight for this card. Actually, Daffodil Delight is the only color of that ribbon that I have so far as we could purchase it during the demonstrator pre-order. But my "big" new catalog order is being processed and, as you read this, is probably very close to being delivered to my home. I'll arrive home tomorrow evening from a delightfully romantic mini-vacation with my husband to celebrate a special birthday – and I'll head right to my lanai, where the FedEx box should be waiting!!!
And we'll be well-rested from our vacation, too! We decided to forgo a trip that involved either TSA or rental cars, so we're at a resort on Hawaii's Big Island. Yes, it's a drive of a couple of hours – but we packed what we wanted, where we wanted and, when we arrived, we arrived! No fussing with shuttles or contracts for rental cars – we had our own wheels!
I do hope you're having as much fun as I'm planning to have this week – and I hope you're enjoying some new Stampin' Up! goodies, too! I've already seen a couple of online orders come through, and I hope yours is on its way! As always, my Stampin' Up! website store is open 24/7 – www.RobinStamps.StampinUp.net!
What a bright, summer card Robin! Beautiful, makes me want to pull that stamp set off the shelf and CASE!! TFS
