Still Unpacking!

July 8, 2010 by Robin

Aloha, all!  This is just a quickie to show off some of my new "stuff"!

I was not at all frugal when it came to ordering products from the brand new 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog.  No, no, no.

But now I have to unpack it all!  I promised myself that I'd unpack EVERY thing before I started playing with ANY thing.  That promise lasted for about an hour.  I just couldn't resist trying something out quickly to show off some of my goodies.

Just Believe

I think I'm going to love this Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight combination for the rest of the summer!  And it will probably come out as a Spring confection in 2011, too!  On top of the color combination, I am so happy to see that Stampin' Up! found another color combination to use with the designs from last year's Cottage Wall designer series paper designs.  This year's set, Sunny Garden,  is the same design, just with new color combinations.  Love it!

I'm sorry to say that I didn't really plan this card out very well.  But it had to be quick so my conscience wouldn't recognize that I'd broken my promise to unpack before playing. The stamp set is my favorite (for now, anyway) new stamp set, Just Believe.  I bought this set because of the floral elements in it.  I'm not sure I understand the saying that I've put on this card.  But I think it's one of those that means different things to different people.  It probably demands some meditation – but I'm not sure when I'm going to have time for that in the near future.

I'm off to travel to the other side of our island (Hawaii's Big Island) tomorrow.  So I need to get to bed early.  I'll work on this design a bit more on Friday and then get some measurements off to you when I'm a little happier with it.

For now – enjoy the new stuff!  I know that several of you have already ordered your own new products, and I can hardly wait to see the designs you come up with!

I have been stamping and paper crafting for over 30 years, and have been an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for 14 years.

My favorite part of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is teaching others to enjoy crafting themselves. Not only do I conduct classes in person, I write tutorials for teaching anyone who has internet access. No matter if you're in my area in The Villages in Florida or anywhere else in the world, let me know if there's something you'd like to learn! Read More…
