Aloha, all!
If you're on my newsletter mailing list, you'll remember that, in this month's newsletter, I included instructions for making one my version of one of the designs that Stampin' Up! created to publicize it's "Buy-3-Get-1-Free" Designer Series Paper sale. That sale will go on all month!
Today, I'd like to share my version of another sample published by Stampin' Up! Even though I really need to spend more time getting Christmas cards done, I also need to keep my stash of day-to-day cards in good shape. I won't be sending Christmas Cards out for another two months, but I need to have cards for other stuff between now and then!
So for this card, I used one of my favorites in my collection of Standard Designer Series Paper sets, By the Shore Designer Series Paper. Yes, this is one of the sets that's included in the October Stampin' Up! sale, and my third set of this paper is definitely on order!
This greeting card would look great with any colors and any Designer Series Papers. But I have some other designs to demonstrate before I start redoing this layout. I'm really hoping that cards like this will entice you to try Stampin' Up!'s October Designer Series Paper sale! In fact, here's something I've not done in a while on my blog – a sketch with measurements! And following that, there's a link to the page on my website that includes all the Designer Series Papers that are included in the October sale!
I began placing the small squares by first adhering one of the corner squares to the Very Vanilla 3-1/2" square so that it is 1/8" from the two closest sides. Then place the other squares 1/8" away from that square, either vertically or horizontally, until all the squares are adhered. Other than that, this is a very simple layout!
