Simple Pop Up Card – Part III

August 7, 2009 by Robin

Aloha, all!

Here is another fun invitation, this time to a Halloween Party.  Again, I’ll show you the outside of the card first.  There’s that "You’re Invited" from Sincere Salutations once again!  I’ve got to find another "You’re Invited" stamp, don’t you think?

The Designer Series Paper is from the new set, Cast A Spell.  The other stamps are from the set, Eat, Drink & Be Scary, which was in last year’s Holiday Mini Catalog, and now has made it into the big time!  I featured some of the new 5/8" Black Grosgrain Ribbon, toped off with some Pumpkin Pie 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon.  The "You’re Invited" greeting is punched with the Scallop Oval punch, and is matted with the same shape from the Sizzis Stampin’ Up! Movers and Shapers Die, Punch Windows.

Inside the card are some scary – but fun! – Skeletons from the new stamp set, Scary Skeleton, along with some more of the images from Eat, Drink & be Scary.  To make the spiders and bat, I stamped directly onto the Medium Window Sheet strips using Stazon Jet Black ink.  See that spider off to the right?  I knew it would fit just because this technique allowed me to see how it would lie when the card is closed.  Fun!

Tomorrow:  The final card, and my very favorite.  Hint:  It has lots of Hawaiian tropical flowers.

I have been stamping and paper crafting for over 30 years, and have been an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for 14 years.

My favorite part of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is teaching others to enjoy crafting themselves. Not only do I conduct classes in person, I write tutorials for teaching anyone who has internet access. No matter if you're in my area in The Villages in Florida or anywhere else in the world, let me know if there's something you'd like to learn! Read More…
