Aloha, all!
One online group to which I belong – Convention Late Night Stampers – has programs throughout Stampin’ Up! Convention Week. I was asked to participate as a demonstrator in a "Wow" project program that was held last night. As my personal sense of "wow" creativity is a bit on the shallow side, I decided that my "wow" would be a simple pop up card that’s easier than any other pop up card I’ve ever done. Not only that, it allows you to see what will fit on the inside of your card in the way of a pop up before you commit to any final gluing down of card stock. What I’m going to share with you over the next few days are some of the pop ups that I showed off after I actually demonstrated how to create the basic pop up. Once I get back from convention, I will have a printed page of basic instructions to send out to those of you who would like one.
The first card is based on the materials that I’m going to be using in my demonstration. The outside of the card features my favorite new Designer Series Paper set, Cottage Wall, along with a tag punched using the Modern Label Punch, matted with the same shape from the Stampin’ Up! Punch Window Movers and Shapers die. A little Taffeta Ribbon and some brads finish this off simply but nicely, I think.
The inside of the card features some butterflies punched with the Butterfly Punch, as well as two from the Stampin’ Up! Sizzix die, Beautiful Butterflies. The pop base is hidden behind the large butterfly on the bottom, and another piece of paper from the Cottage Wall DSP set is featured on the inside note page.
The next two cards are more of a "fun" try at invitations! See you here tomorrow!!
