Hi, there, everyone!
I don’t know if you’ve missed me. But I’ve definitely missed you. I’ve also missed my Stampin’ Up! products and my paper crafting. But I’m definitely in my own craft room space and have been able to order a few new Stampin’ Up! products to share with you over the next week.
Thank You for Staying In Touch!
First of all, I’m so happy that so many of you stayed in touch with me over the past couple of months while I’ve been in the process of moving from Hawai’i to Florida. Your e-mails, your Christmas cards, your Stampin’ Up! orders, have all made me feel as if my crafting life was going eventually to be back in business. Now here I am almost ready to be fully in business again!
This Thank You Card Is So Easy to Make!
The new Designer Series Paper Set Artfully Composed has such colorful and delightfully layered designs that it stands on its own to make a major section of a card front. For this card, I layered a Pale Papaya print from the Paper set as the background layer. Then I added a stamped piece of Basic White Cardstock onto the right side of the card and a piece of Evening Evergreen Cardstock onto the left. Finally I added a print from the Paper set over the Evergreen cardstock. Here is this simple layout.
The Die-Cutting Makes It Interesting
The Artfully Composted Designer Series Paper is part of an entire suite of products. For this card I first used the Artfully Layered Stamp Set for the Thank You sentiment. Then I used a edge die from the Tropical Layers Dies to die-cut the right edges of the elements on both the left and right side of the card front.
Finally, I used a die that cuts out little heart-shaped tropical leaves to create some texture for the right side of the card. For this I used Pale Papaya Cardstock.
And the Stamparatus Makes the Stamping Easy, Too!
Of course I used the Stamparatus to keep those four Thank Yous lined up evenly and equally spaced vertically. The technique that I used is called “Hinge-Step Stamping.” I’ve used it here before a number of times. Let me know if you’d like to learn more about it. Once I get my craft room all set up (target mid-March!) I’ll start making some of my own videos so you won’t have to go looking for techniques elsewhere. Sounds like fun to me!
There’s More to Come!
While I’m not back in full swing yet, I’m almost there. On Monday our shipment of our household AND CRAFTING stuff arrives. It will likely be chaos for the first few days. But I’ll be sure to have some things ready to show you even while I’m tearing my hair out (no photos of that one!). So check back to see what else I’ve done with the Artfully Composed Suite on Sunday!
Happy Stamping!

Welcome back, Robin!! Your card is beautiful, as usual! Love how simple it is! And the layout measurements are included! Mahalo!
Robin, I have missed you! I was afraid you weren’t coming back online, so today my heart lifted when I found your email in my inbox. I wish you all the best as you adjust to a new life here on the mainland.
