Aloha, all!
I really am trying to get back in the swing of things by searching out challenges – and they're all over the place! So my challenge for myself for the month of March is to participate in as many different challenges as I can – and the first one for me is today!
I can't remember when I last participated in one of Mary Jo Price-Williams Monday Lunchtime challenge. I know I see lots of people participating in this weekly challenge, and I can't imagine I've not participated. But if I haven't, I'm correcting this today!
One of the hardest parts of a sketch challenge is deciding which papers, colors and stamps to use. I have to tell you that I have a fairly decent collection of stamps – enough that I don't have room to easily see them all. So the first thing that I selected was color, and the easiest way to pick color was to look at the pages of Designer Series Papers in the Stampin' Up! Catalog. Flip, flip, flip – and there on the last page was the Razzleberry Splash Simply Scrappin Kit. This was one of the first products that I purchased when the new catalog came out last summer. Of course I used it right away. Then I managed to put the kit away and forgot about it. I am so glad that I saw this today because it turned out to be just the right set of colors to perk me up!
Everything that you see in this card – except for the "Thank You" stamp, the ribbon, and the Razzleberry Button – is from the Simply Scrappin' Kit. The two papers are actually the front and back sides of one of the sheets of Designer Series Papers in the kit, and the Night of Navy Card Stock is also part of the kit. I love the Floral Card Stock Stickers and, if I'd really gone crazy, I could have layered up quite a few of the stickers and this would have been a lot of fun to make. But I decided to save some for a later time.
Of course you know that everyone – you included! – can participate in Mary Jo's challenge! All you have to do is make a card, post a photo of it on the intenet somewhere and then attach your photo to Mary Jo's linky tool. I hope to see your project there!
How fun those colors and paper are! I love this card. Awesome use of that kit, so glad you hopped on over and played along with my sketch challene–thanks so much!
I love your color combo! I may have to give this scrappin' kit another look. You've made a beautiful card! Thanks for playing along with Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.
Great card Robin! I love that Scrappin' Kit and need to order it. Thanks for playing with us this week at TSSC.
