Aloha, all!
As a follow up from yesterday, here is the handmade gift that I’ll be sending off to my sister-in-law and wonderful downline, Deb, in today’s mail. She’ll get it a bit late for her birthday, but I know she’ll really like it.
It’s a note pad cover! I bought a pack of 5" x 8" lined note pads at a local "big box retailer" and made a nice cover for it. The colors I used for this particular pad are So Saffron, Certainly Celery, and Pretty in Pink, all of which coordinate wonderfully with one of the great new Stampin’ Up! Designer Papers, Tea Party. I accented the front of the pad cover with So Saffron 5/8" ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog. Did you know that this is the ONLY TIME you’ll be able to get this beautiful So Saffron ribbon? My heart was broken when I saw this in Sale-A-Bration, because I know that Stampin’ Up! will never put this is one of its regular catalogs. That’s one of the deals with Sale-A-Bration–these stamps and accessories are exclusive to this catalog at this time. So, if you want some of that luscious ribbon, now’s the time to buy it. WRONG. You can’t "buy" it. You have to earn it by purchasing $50 in Stampin’ Up! products from one of our regular catalogs.
For Deb’s name I used the Ticker Tape Alphabet and added one of the flowers from the Level 1 Hostess Set, Darling Dots. The final touch is the centers from two pieces from the Fire Circles Rhinestones Brads set.
If you like the note pad cover and would like to make one yourself, just print out the instructions that I’ve posted here!
Meanwhile, don’t forget that Sale-A-Bration is in full swing! You can place an order by calling (808.854.6145) or e-mailing me, or by going directly to my website to place an order online!
