New Products for a Fun Fold Card!

Robin · November 1, 2019 ·

Aloha, all!

Earlier this week I shared some samples of how I used the new Christmastime Is Here Designer Series Paper and two of the new embellishments in the Christmastime Is Here suite – the Gold 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon and Gold Glitter Enamel Dots. Today I have one project that uses all three of these, along with just three products from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.

I made this card based on a fun-fold card that I saw on Pinterest using another set of products. When I saw the Christmastime Is Here suite, I thought the colors would work wonderfully with the fold. It’s kind of a Z-Fold, but there is only one sheet of Mossy Meadow Cardstock that is used as the base. What makes this card a very easy fun fold to make is the brand new Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer. I used it to score the cardstock for the folds and cut the middle section perfectly to allow me to make the various mountain and valley folds.

One of the suite’s products that I have not yet purchased are the Christmas Rose Bundle, which consists of the Christmas Rose Stamp Set and the Roses Dies. Frankly, I do not have any more room for stamp sets on my desk! And yes, they’re on my desk because there’s no other place in my shared office to put them. But the roses in the Designer Series Paper are so gorgeously designed that I can cut them out and use them as I might use a die-cut stamped image. I think it works well with the roses, both on the front of the card and on the inside Whisper White section for writing notes.

Would you like instructions for this card (and any card made with the fun fold, because lots of products work well with it!)? If you’re on my Newsletter Mailing List, you’ll be getting a full tutorial on how to make this card when I send my next newsletter out this weekend. Anyone who signs up for my newsletter (sign up is over to the right) by November 7th will get this newsletter WITH the tutorial!

Have a great weekend and a fun November!
