My Favorite New Cardstock of the Day!

Aloha, all!

     As I write this, I am madly rushing around doing all travel-prep things I should have done yesterday! As you read this, I'm actually in a place where I can do some crafting, and I'm surely loving it.

     The rush to get this project done was so that I would have my Design Team project for the biweekly Stampin' Up! Only Challenge! The theme for this challenge is "Our Favorite new Papers or Cardstock." As you know, when I left home, I could not yet order much from the new catalog, and the papers that were offered in the pre-order were not going to be my favorites. But I do have the new "In Colors" from Stampin' Up!, and today I'm choosing Dapper Denim as my favorite of the day! (I love them all!.)

     I made this card for a very dear friend whose husband passed away several years ago, and I sent it on the occasion of their wedding anniversary. Janet's favorite color is blue, so I wanted a card with lots of blue. I picked not only the Dapper Denim (the darker color), but also Marina Mist and Pool Party.

     Lots of layers on this card, but I did want it to be special.

     I've talked here about the Wonderful Wreath Framelits and Circle of Spring stamp set that goes with the framelits, so I won't go much into detail. The sentiment is from Watercolor Wishes Stamp Set, and I cut the layered labels using the Tags and Labels Framelits.
