More Fun With Butterflies

May 9, 2013 by Robin

Aloha, all!

Earlier this week I presented a Butterfly greeting card that was for the new SUO Challenges Blog challenge.  At the same time there was a challenge from another online group, VC Rocks (and you can join for free – it's just a fun group for the summer) to make a project with four things that start with B.  Well, Butterflies begin with B, so I thought I'd try to "double-dip" with the challenges.  By the time I finished my first card, I reallized I'd gone off in a couple of different directions that took me away from the B theme.  So on to a second try!

And here are my 4 Bs:

  • B is for Butterfly
  • B is for Brads
  • B is for Baja Breeze (a retiring color, but still very much current until the end of May!)
  • B is for Blushing Bride (recognize this color?  It's a former In Color that's being brought back into the Stampin' Up! color groupings (yay!!)
  • A Bonus B – Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad!

Now, this was definitely fun – and I had to concentrate because every once in awhile, I started to bring in a different color – I even almost left out the brads in favor of pearls!  Pearls do NOT start with B.  Whenever I'm making a card, I let my imagination take over while I'm in the process of designing.  So while this was fun, it was definitely challenging having to keep focused on what needed to B in the card – those 4 Bs!!

As I said before, you can join "VC Rocks" this summer for free.  The "VC" stands for "Virtual Convention," and we try to make what it is that we do all summer long mimic what might be going on at the Stampin' Up! Convention in July.  There's even a virtual online hotel and plenty of swaps!  Especially nice for those of us who won't be going to the convention.  Just click here to sign up and get your questionnaire.  It's a Yahoo Group, so you'll have to be signed up with the Yahoo Group website.  Then join in the fun!

Robin Messenheimer

I have been stamping and paper crafting for over 30 years, and have been an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for 14 years.

My favorite part of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is teaching others to enjoy crafting themselves. Not only do I conduct classes in person, I write tutorials for teaching anyone who has internet access. No matter if you're in my area in The Villages in Florida or anywhere else in the world, let me know if there's something you'd like to learn! Read More…
