Love You to Pieces!

July 6, 2018 by Robin

Aloha, all!

I’m back again, this time after having gone through the third stack of fabulous Stampin’ Up! cards sent to me by so many sister Stampin’ Up! demonstrators (nope, still no cards from Stampin’ Up! dudes!).

First of all, you may wonder what happened to the second batch of cards. Well, it’s safe and sound in a box that I left behind when we had to leave our temporary evacuation home for an even more temporary stay at an apartment in Hilo. It’s a long story, but we knew we’d have to leave our friends house for a while in July while relatives of the owner spent some honeymoon time on Hawaii’s Big Island. Who can refuse honeymooners!? Anyway, we’ll be back in that house after a quick trip to Oregon and Minnesota to get some grandchildren time. Then I’ll get back to that batch of cards.

Now for the current wonderful cards.

I just had to share EVERYTHING that came with this card with you. First of all, Cheryl Hamilton is one of several demonstrators who has taken a personal interest in me during all the Volcano stuff that’s been going on. She has spent time with me on the phone and by e-mail from the island of Maui, encouraging me to keep on going with my Stampin’ Up! business even if I don’t have a place to do any serious crafting.

I knew when I first saw the Love You to Pieces Stamp Set that it would be one I’d be ordering as soon as I got the chance. Well, that chance hasn’t happened yet. But it will.

I’m definitely sure that, more than anything, I want that Puzzle Pieces Thinlits Die set. Can you just see a photograph cut into puzzle pieces and sent off to a grandchild? I certainly can. But what Cheryl did with to go along with this card was to chop up a lot of cardstock as well as stamped images with the thinlits and stuff them inside the card. Cruel!!! Yikes!!!! I had to stop what I was doing and pick them all up. Well, almost all. After I’d taken this picture and had it all edited, my husband walked into the room and asked, “Why is there a puzzle piece on the floor?” Ooops, I missed one of the stamped pieces in the photo.

Of course it’s always fun when an envelope is decorated. And all it took to make this a fun envelope was to stamp some of the line puzzle piece images on the front.

I also received another card, from sister demonstrator, Ann Clemmer, who made a very simple but wonderful card using the Puzzle Pieces Thinlits as the main layer for the card. I love this!! The sentiment is perfect for me, too, as both of these wonderful ladies have been a great help in keeping ME together!

For those of you who are not demonstrators, I do hope that seeing these cards will pique your interest in buying some of these fun new products from Stampin’ Up! The newest catalog is just over a month old, but I’m so ready to have a place to craft so I can buy some. If you have a place to craft, consider buying some of these products from me. I’d more than appreciate it. And don’t forget you get as FREE TUTORIAL through the month of July for any purchase of $50 or more from my Stampin’ Up! store! Click on any of the icons at the end of this post to get there in no time at all!

I have been stamping and paper crafting for over 30 years, and have been an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for 14 years.

My favorite part of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is teaching others to enjoy crafting themselves. Not only do I conduct classes in person, I write tutorials for teaching anyone who has internet access. No matter if you're in my area in The Villages in Florida or anywhere else in the world, let me know if there's something you'd like to learn! Read More…

Robin, glad you liked this fun card. And I really didn’t mean to surprise you with flying puzzle pieces like that! Thought you’d like to make a card with them. Talk to you soon & glad to hear you’re “keeping it together”.
