It’s All Sweet Sorbet (Sketch Included)!

March 2, 2014 by Robin

Aloha, all!

After two projects with the Kaleidoscope Suite from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog, I am SO ready to get back to something fussy and floral!  And where better to go find this than in the Stampin' Up! 2014 Sale-a-Bration Catalog with the Sweet Sorbet Collection!  Oh my how I love the colors and flowers of Sweet Sorbet!

SABCard

I am just loving all the colors in the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper!   I have to tell you that the Summer Starfruit yellow color in the 2012-2014 In Color collection has not been my favorite.  But once I saw the Sweet Sorbet paper and how well that yellow went with all the other colors, I almost fell in love with it!  You can see that, in this card, I even used it as my card base.  I also chose the Summer Starfruit Twine from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack to accent the thin vertical layer.  That layer's main color is Pistachio Pudding, and there is definitely some Summer Starfruit in there, too.

After I had cut all my papers, I decided to take a bit of the Basic Black accent from the floral pattern and make a very thin mat behind both the main layer as well as the thin layer.  This also helped me decide what color to use for the sentiment from the Peaceful Petals Stamp Set – Basic Black, of course!

Once I had this all done, I thought perhaps the thin layer on the right needed a bit more "something" to give it some added texture.  Since so far all but the stamp had come from the Sale-a-Bration Catalog, I decided that what I put there should be from that catalog also.  So I popped out one of the Adhesive-backed Cork Die Cuts from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack might do the trick.  And so it did!

I'm sure most of you know that what is in the Sale-a-Bration Catalog cannot be purchased.  What?  Nope – you can only get these products FOR FREE if you spend $50 on Stampin' Up! products from the current supply list (including catalogs and items on carry-over lists AND ITEMS IN THE CLEARANCE RACK!!).  This year's Sale-a-Bration catalog even includes some suggestions for groups of products that, when purchased, add up to $50 or slightly more.  And those products go very well with the 13 products in the Sale-a-Bration catalog!

Do you have questions about this or would you like a catalog?  If you do, I am MORE than happy to answer questions and send out Sale-a-Bration or Occasions Catalogs right away!  Just send an e-mail to the above address OR call me at the phone number above.

There are just 4 WEEKS OF SALE-A-BRATION LEFT!!  So don't delay and lose the chance for this year's FREE PRODUCTS!

Sketch     OK – now for the sketch.  It's been far too long since I've provided a sketch in a blog post.  I hope you enjoy it – especially if you have some Sweet Sorbet FREE PRODUCTS!

Robin Messenheimer

I have been stamping and paper crafting for over 30 years, and have been an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for 14 years.

My favorite part of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is teaching others to enjoy crafting themselves. Not only do I conduct classes in person, I write tutorials for teaching anyone who has internet access. No matter if you're in my area in The Villages in Florida or anywhere else in the world, let me know if there's something you'd like to learn! Read More…
