Aloha, all!
And Happy Halloween to all of you who enjoy this fun, but sometimes spooky, celebration.
Yesterday's card featured the Stampin' Up! Cat Punch, and so does today's!
But the background for this card is somewhat different from yesterday's, especially in that there's not much in the way of Designer Series Paper except for the two cats that I punched out.
You might remember a Halloween card I shared last month in which I used the same background as I did for this card. I had requests from my regular class attendees to feature a couple of cards for this class using the Cat Punch. There were requests for the other two cards for that class, too, so I figured I'd just reuse the shaded brick idea as they'd not used it in class for a long, long time.
The bricks come from using the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It's amazing how many different looks this design can have in a card. But I think coloring the folder by sponging Pumpkin Pie Ink onto the folder before running the cardstock through it gives it a more "spooky" feeling, especially when I carried the sponging to the edges of the brick wall layer, too.
We saw the black cat yesterday, and the orange cat is also printed in the same sheet of Designer Series Paper from the Spooky Night Set as is the black cat.
Another new set of products in this card is the Labels to Love Stamp Set, which also has Christmas and Valentine's stamps in it, along with the new Everyday Label Punch. Once I finished putting the card together, I went searching for some sequins to use, not really sure what I'd find in my stash. Durned if I didn't find the Metallics Sequin Assortment in a drawer in my Craft Room – and there are black sequins in that set! Who would have thunk it!
I'm obviously getting punchy, so I'll sign off for now. But don't forget to check back tomorrow when I'll feature one more project using the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper set, and it will NOT be a Halloween project, per se.
