Aloha, all!
The lady we in our neighborhood know as “T” is one of my favorite people – because she brings all things Stampin’ Up! to my door. Today, every time I heard a truck on our street, I went to look out to see if it was she. Finally, not much more than an hour ago, she arrived with my very first samples of Stampin’ Up! products that will be in the next annual catalog. Now, I’m not usually one who has to have everything the minute that it comes out. But I was so excited about Stampin’ Up!’s new stamp pad design that I just HAD to get my hands on at least one as soon as I could. Of course, I ordered a stamp set and some cardstock and some embellishments and…. Well, you get the picture. And here’s a picture of the very first project I made with them.
Just before T arrived with my goodies, I had been on my computer reading about the weekly challenges in one of my online Stampin’ Up! demonstrator support groups. One challenge was to use a technique called, “Layering Masks.” The technique is to layer images from two of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks on one project. I already had my papers and inks out and was ready to start when that FedEx truck came down my driveway. So I shoved everything else aside and used some of my new “stuff.” I had a fabulous time!
I used two masks for this project, one with a medallion pattern sponging on the new Stampin’ Up! color, Grapefruit Grove, and one with a diamond pattern and a current color, Tranquil Tide. Then I mounted that onto a layer of Tranquil Tide Cardstock, Grapefruit Grove Cardstock, and a card base of Thick Whisper White Cardstock. I embellished the front with a strip of Tranquil Tide 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon and attached a matching bow. The Thank You, stamped in Tranquil Tide Ink, is from the new stamp set, Love What You Do. I punched it out using the Pretty Label Punch, sponged the edges using the Grapefruit Grove Ink, and added three little Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.
This set of products is going to be available for you to order next month, and has been put together to commemorate Stampin’ Up!’s 30th Anniversary which is being celebrated this year. One of the touchstones of the Stampin’ Up! experience is “The Statement of My Heart,” which begins with, “To Love What We Do and Share What We Love.” This suite of products is called the Share What You Love Suite, and there will be bundles available for you to purchase from May 1 to May 31, prior to the Stampin’ Up! catalog going live on June 1st. I’ll share more of that with you as the time gets closer.
I’m not going to be able to share links to upcoming products as they’re not yet available to my readers and customers. But I will share those that I can.
