Aloha, All!
That's the name of one of the kits in the 2014 Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Catalog! It's called "Good as Gold" because there are some fun gold accents, including a gold foil liner for the envelopes included in the kit.
If you're on my Newsletter mailing list, you might recall that I mentioned how much fun I'd been having with this kit – how's there's so much you can do with it! And then today I was reminded of a current sketch challenge, and that kit popped right into my mind!
Everything on this card (and the envelope!) is from the kit, except for the larger scrap of Bermuda Bay Cardstock. That I took out of a pile of scraps lying next to my work table. The card itself, the banner with "For You" on it, and the little banner strip of Bermuda Bay are just as they are included in the kit.
There is not actually a piece of Goil Foil the shape of the top layer of this card. But who's to know that there's a bit more than an inch of goil foil missing from the bottom of that envelope liner??!!! You certainly can't tell by looking at if from most angles. Oh, and that little star is punched into another gold element in the kit – a gold foil banner. The samples shown in the kit don't show much of that little gold star. But it's definitely a star, and I'm not wasting a one of those little critters!
Speaking of angles – you might have noticed that I photograhed this project at a bit of a strange one. That's because that gold foil is SO shiny that you'd see my face and camera reflected in it if I shot the photo straight on. That's definitely not as interesting as the note card project!
Now I'm off to do some straightening up as our grandchildren are almost here! We've been planning this for months, and they will have traveled just shy of 5,000 miles to get here. But you'll see me here even when they're here visiting because I've planned quite a few projects to share with you along the way. And, if the weather doesn't always cooperate, I'll wager we'll be making some paper-crafted projects with my Stampin' Up! supplies – and I'm hoping to share those with you if we do!
I hope you'll have as much fun this weekend and week as I do!!
