Aloha, all!
This week is the biweekly Stampin' Up! Only Challenge, and this week it's all about dots. What a fun idea for a challenge – make dots a focus of a project!
And oh, was I able to find lots of dots in the Painted Petals Stamp Set and the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper from the Stampin' Up! 2015 Occasions Catalog!
To stamp the rows of dots using the line of dots from the stamp set, I used the four of the colors that are featured in the dotted design from the Designer Series Paper set: Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, and Wild Wasabi.
Once I had those stamped on my card front, I decided to pick the Wild Wasabi as the featured color for the card. It just did not seem as overwhelming as the Blackberry and Pacific might have been, and more of an accent than the Daffodil. I used Wild Wasabi Cardstock to mat the two Designer Series Paper layers as well as the entire card front. And I used Wild Wasabi Classic Ink to stamp the sentiment.
For the final touch, I picked out some Candy Dots from the Brights Collection (Daffodil Delight) and the Subtles Collection (Wild Wasabi). What a nice accent in between the Daffodil and Wasabi in the middle of the card!
This is such a fun challenge and I hope you'll head on over to the SUO Challenges Blog and enter it!
