Aloha, all!
I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but I really did think that I'd ordered the Holiday Home Bundle from the Stampin' Up! 2014 Holiday Catalog. But, while I did managed to misplace quite a few things from that Catalog as I was in the middle of a rushed move to get away from Hawaii's lava, it turns out that this wasn't one of them. I really did NOT order this bundle! Rats, and I'd decided it was going to be featured in at least two of my December cards that I was planning to make based on layouts in my 2010 Card Layouts eBook. What to do!? Aha, it turns out that this stamp set is one that was also produced as a Digital Stamp Brush Set. So up popped my copy of Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio, and out came the houses!
It was fun making this house close to the way I'd originally envisioned it, though I really do like stamping and coloring with my inks and Stampin' Write Markers.
It's getting down to the wire with making Christmas cards as I have to get them mailed out by this Saturday to have any kind of hope that they'll get to mainland destinations before Christmas. So from here on out, most of my projects are going to be a lot simpler so I can get more made. For this card, all I did was to cut two pieces from the Nordic Noel Designer Series Paper (DSP) set, using the measurements from my eBook. I did add a mat to both of these, which was not a feature of the original layout.
To finish the card off, I did get my "real" stamps out, in the shape of what's become my favorite set this holiday season, Endless Wishes. I love this photopolymer set – it's SOOO easy to use!
Here are the Stampin' Up! products I used for this project – just click on a picture to find out more about each of them, and even to buy one or two on my Stampin' Up! website!
