Aloha, all!
Well here I am again with a card made with the All Is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper set. I am just loving the Pear Pizzazz/Lost Lagoon color combo!
For today's card, using another of the layouts featured in my 2010 Greeting Card Layout eBook, I used two designs from the DSP set. I really like the dotted design in the paper on the background layer, and the Pear Pizzazz sheet is a perfect complement to it.
When I picked out the stamp I was going to use from the Mingle all the Way Stamp Set, I wanted to feature some Pear Pizzazz green in with the Lost Lagoon color I'd selected for the main image. So, just as I did with another recent card, I inked up the whole stamp with Lost Lagoon, then used an Aqua Painter to remove the ink from a few of the snowflakes. Finally I used my Pear Pizzazz Stampin' a Write Marker to re color the snowflakes. It stamped up pretty well!
For the glitter, after all that work stamping the Pear snowflakes, I decided to insert three Rhinestones over them. Nice touch!
To follow the layout instructions, I scalloped one long edge with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. ooooh, another nice touch!
And, once again, I tied the project all together with some ribbon. Even though there is some nice Lost Lagoon ribbon in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog, I wanted something a bit wider to complete this project. So I found my Lost Lagoon 3/8" Stitched Ribbon, and it was another perfect touch
