Cute Little Easter Lamb!

April 15, 2014 by Robin

Aloha, all!

As promised, here I am with yet another cute card that I've made with the Eggstra Spectacular Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!  Finally I got around to using the darling little lamb in the set who cheerfully announces, "thinking of ewe at easter."

Ewe

If you've been following me even for a short time, you might recognize this basic layout as one that I used earlier this month for a birthday card for one of my granddaughters.  But all of the details for this card are definitely different, beginning with the Designer Frames Embossing Folder.  For the birthday card I used the oval frame, and for this one I used the rectangle.  I first tried to cut a straight rectangular shape around the frame and then mat it with a different color.  But it just didn't work for me, so I just trimmed all around the frame shape made by the embossing folder.  I then tried just laying the frame onto the card base – it was OK, but it needed something else.  So I made an extra layer which I embossing with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  That definitely workd for me, and my layout was done.

Now for the little lamb.  I know I'm allowed to take artistic license and color critters with whatever color I'd like.  But I really wanted her to be white.  So I stamped the image with its sentiment on the Pistachio Pudding Cardstock, and then again on Whisper White Cardstock.  After a bit of fussing cutting (almost cut off an ear!) and coloring in of the Easter basket, she was ready to adhere on top of the original stamped image.  Sooooo cute!

This little gal is going to one of my grandchildren – in fact, by now it's already in the mail!  I'm sure he's going to love it!

Now here are the Stampin' Up! products that I featured in this project.  If you click on any of the pictures you can get all the information you should need about any of the products.  But, of course, you can always ask me, and I'll be happy to help you out!
