Aloha, all!
July is almost over and, for the first time in memory, I have not yet started on my Christmas cards for the coming season. Still no real crafting space, but I do believe that this is very likely to start changing in August.
Nonetheless, I do have the opportunity to share some Christmas in July ideas as July comes to an end, compliments of some fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who have been among the dozens who have been sending me cards since my evacuation from our home due to the Kilauea lava eruption.
Jodi Reinert make a dynamite card using the Under the Mistletoe Suite of products in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. I love the different greens that she used in this card, and the way that she created a cardstock background stamping the mistletoe image with Old Olive ink on Old Olive Cardstock. The center layer is made up of a design from the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper, accented with Shaded Spruce Metallic Ribbon and the Shaded Spruce Cardstock. If you don’t have these two greens in your cardstock stash, you can buy them, as well as some Real Red Cardstock in the Under the Mistletoe Cardstock Pack.
Cindy Baughman, a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator who is also from Hawai’i, send this card made with the gorgeous new Stylish Christmas Stamp Set. The Poinsettia and Holly Leaf stamps in this set that Cindy used in this card are one of the new “DistINKtive” stamps shown throughout the new 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! Catalog. These stamps just require inking up once, and different shades of the same color come through in the stamping. This card also uses a sheet of paper from the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper.
