Aloha, all!
One of my favorite things about the current Stampin’ Up! Catalogs is that, throughout the books, there are sections entitled, “Quick & Easy: You Can Make it!” So when the theme for the current Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge Blog was to CASE (Copy And Share with Everyone) a catalog sample, I decided to go for one of those. And, with Valentine’s Day coming right up, I went looking at stamps that had Valentine’s themes. The good news is that the stamp set I chose is great for many occasions, not just Valentine’s Day.
This sample is on Page 88 of the Stampin’ Up! 2017-2018 Annual Catalog, and features the stamp set, Bloomin’ Love. What makes this “Quick & Easy” is that you can put 3 different stamps on one acrylic block and then stamp that all over the front of a card to make a great design. Here’s how it looks in the catalog, and it even shows you which stamps the artist put on the block to make these cards.
Now, CASE doesn’t mean that I have to make an exact copy of a card. When I CASE a card, I like to add a bit of my own creativity to make it come out a little different. What I did to make this happen for this project was to make the Whisper White Card Base mat the colored cardstock on which I stamped. I also definitely wanted these cards to be Valentine Cards, so I die-cut the sentiment with one of the smaller hearts from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits set. Finally, as I had some of the luscious new 1/4″ White Organza Ribbon from the Stampin’ Up! 2018 Occasions Catalog, I wanted to use that instead of the white ribbon used in the original.
So that’s my CASE for this Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge! See how easy it is? We would love it if you’d come on over to the blog and enter your own CASE of a project in any Stampin’ Up! catalog. Here are the products I used for this project. You can click on any of the small pictures below and go directly to my Stampin’ Up! store to read more about it and even buy it if you’d like.
